We encourage you to review the FAQ below as it includes important information.
Opening a new residence is a complex undertaking and we want to ensure that students have the safest and most comfortable residence experience. The construction and operations teams have been working around the clock and were confident that the building would be ready for the first move-ins on August 23. Unfortunately, upon final inspection on August 22, it has been determined that further work in the building is needed before the residence can welcome occupants.
Crews are now working around the clock to finish the building, and we anticipate welcoming the first residents with move-ins starting September 6.
Moving into residence is an exciting moment in your university journey and we know how important this moment is to our students. We thought we would be able to get everything done for students to move in on time, and we made every effort to do so.

We completely understand the desire to see your space and get settled early. Unfortunately, Oak House cannot be accessed before September 6.
Although the furniture is in place, the building is still undergoing final finishing touches and a thorough clean-up to make sure everything is comfortable and ready for you. Until that work is complete, the building is not in a state to welcome students or families. Additionally, room doors are not yet programmed for individual access. This is the very last step in preparing for move-in and will only happen once all staff and contractors have finished their work.
We know this timing is not what anyone had hoped for, and we appreciate your patience. Our focus is ensuring that when you do move in, Oak House is fully prepared, secure, and ready for you to make it your home. If you’d like to plan ahead, you can access floor plans online.
